  1. watching this for proabably the 5th time. if you get a motherboard with a good ethernet port. (i use 1 but a lot of people would prefer 2.5) and add in a m.2 expansion card you can make a mini ssd server

  2. As with everything in the last 2 years, the price shown in the video was $79 two years ago and today (2022) $159 inflation supply hit really bad to Velka, wow doubled the price, will need to check with AliExpress has the knock off as its insane.

  3. I would very much like to see them try this again and see if they can make a even better one with a similar form factor. And if possible to have custom cable length so they don't have to tuck them to they side since they are way longer than needed.

  4. So for the silence freak who also wants an SFF you use this case, but use a Pico-PSU or HDPlex power supply, throw those slim fans in the garbage and mount some silent fans to the bottom where the PSU would normally go. You'd also have to add some feet so those new fans could bring in air from the bottom. And there you have it, a totally silent, super tiny SFF.

  5. @16:45 I had similar problems with the InWin Chopin case. It has a proprietary PSU. I was hearing air noise from the PSU in my Ryzen build so I removed it and replaced it with a PicoPSU and an external brick.

But it turns out that the PSU fan itself was actually very quiet (as advertised) but it was blowing air around a few tight bends and it was the whooshing noise around those corners that was making the sounds. It would have required a Dremel-level of case mod to try to do anything about that, if it was even possible.
